Dr. Erol Uke, Urologist

Dr. Uke is a general urologist with extensive experience in the treatment of geniturinary cancers.   He has worked with many patients with kidney stones, infections, enlarged prostates, urinary incontinence and voiding dysfunction in children and adults.

He received his undergraduate in Chemistry at Occidental College.  He graduated from medical school at Northwestern University in Chicago.  He did his first two years of postgraduate work at UCLA-Harbor General in Los Angeles finishing the last four years of Urology residency and fellowship at Northwestern University.  He spent twenty-eight years practicing general urology in the Twin Cities at Park Nicollet Clinic – Methodist Hospital.   During his time there, he held the posts of Chairman of Urology and was on the Board of Trustees for Park Nicollet – Methodist Hospital.  He came out of early retirement to run a solo practice in Western Minnesota where he has had a presence since 2000.  He is a member of the American Urology Association, Minnesota Urology Association and an affliate of the National Cancer Institute.  He currently volunteers at Hennepin County Medical Center in the teaching Urology Clinic.

He has an office practice and surgery presence at Benson, Appleton, Dawson, Madison, Gracevill, Tyler and Wheaton, MN.  He is in Madison twice a month.

On a personal note, he is married to Dr Karin Tansek, Otolaryngologist.  He is a family man with a son in college.  His hobbies include fishing, traveling and gardening.  He has been active in Boy Scouts of America over the years also.
