Madison Healthcare Services is a healthcare complex located at 900 Second Avenue in Madison offering a wide variety of services for people of all ages including hospital, clinic, care center, and Hilltop Residence facilities.  Our healthcare campus includes a 65-bed skilled nursing facility, a 12-bed critical access hospital, home care services, fully staffed medical clinic, secure 36-unit independent living apartment building, and therapy services provided by Big Stone Therapies

Madison Healthcare Services Nursing Home facility is currently seeking a Full-time RN/LPN to work 8 or 12 shifts,every other or third weekend & rotating holidays.

$2500 signing bonus

$500 after 90 days, $1000 at six months, and $1000 at one year

Position Summary: The Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse organizes the provision of nursing care to residents through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The RN/LPN delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their preparation and job descriptions. The RN/LPN contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and meets the requirements of the federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. OUr Nurses are responsible for the delivery of resident care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation, medication administration and treatments. This position requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and others.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of current principles and techniques of nursing practice.
  • Ability to function as a team leader, to accept individual responsibility and accountability for decisions and outcomes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, personnel and physicians.
  • Recognizes the legal limits of the nursing practice.
  • Maintains professional competency through continuing education and independent study.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and the public.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Must be able to perform the duties of a nursing assistant and be available to assist if necessary.
  • Ability to objectively assess and observe resident condition and relay information to the health care provider.
  • Must possess a desire to work with geriatric population, infirmed, and handicapped persons.

Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.

Experience:  Experience is preferred but not required. New grads are encouraged to apply!
